The Danger For Hillary Clinton Is Escalating
Two recent developments have transformed Mrs. Clinton’s e-Mail scandal into a potentially deadly issue.
“Secretive and highly classified” government information was found on the private email server of Democratic Presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton used when she served as Secretary of State.
Monday, the Inspector General for the Intelligence Community wrote to Senator Richard Burr, (R-NC) Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, to inform him that he had received “two sworn declarations from one intelligence community element. These declarations cover several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the IC element to be at the Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret/SAP levels. According to the declarant, these documents contain information derived from classified IC element sources.”
Note: “special access programs,” or SAP is a level of classification beyond Top Secret.
“There is absolutely no way that one could not recognize SAP material. It is the most sensitive of the sensitive,” a former senior law enforcement officer said.
In fact, an executive order signed in Y 2009 says, “the number of persons who ordinarily will have access will be reasonably small and commensurate with the objective of providing enhanced protection for the information involved.”
The former federal law enforcement official said the finding “represents a potential violation of USC 18 Section 793, ‘Gross Negligence’ in the handling of secure information under the Espionage Act.”
So far it is known that about 1,340 emails that went to or from Secretary of State Clinton contained material the State Department deems to be “classified.” Mrs. Clinton says they were not classified when she got or sent them and that their classification is only retroactive. Her critics say she should have recognized them as classified and labelled them so herself, which she is authorized to do.
But the fact that she also sent or received SAP material is an even more significant breech of intelligence protocol.
This disclosure comes on top of the revelation last week that the FBI is now expanding its investigation of the e-Mails to include evidence of possible corruption at the Clinton Foundation and in the events surrounding the speaking fees earned by the Clintons.
Together, these 2 new revelations, indicate that the danger for Secretary Clinton has escalated and that the FBI investigation is closing in.
